Pros and cons of Magic Shutter app for iPhone and iPad

Magic Shutter app good for

Fantastic app pls. Make a german Version then i will give 5 stras Ranking
One my favourite photography apps on the app store. Its very easy to use with a great interface. I have taken some excellent photos and Im exciting to see future updates.
Definitely worth the money. I have experience with photography & understanding light painting. This is super easy to use, there is even an example video online. It may require a bit of learning about the experimental photo medium of light painting! Looking forward to higher quality images, v1.2 makes the process even easier.
I just paid and tested 4 different slow shutter apps and this one was most certainly the best. The ones tested were Slow Shutter+, Top Camera, Shutter Controller and this one. Slow Shutter + and Shutter Controller: Horrible low resolution, buggy and crashed a lot. Top Camera: Amazing application with shutter control through volume button of earbuds (so can be used as a remote shutter), highest resolution (full resolution - they claim), but the quality is very low. Seems to be just up sampled HD video) Magic Shutter: Most certainly the best one of the lot. Although not as high resolution as Top Camera, it has way better image quality. Does seem to crop the image, which I dont understand why, but even with the other apps zoomed, it doesnt come close to being as good. The controls are a little tricky to understand at first, but the Manual Exposure, appears to be the best one of all 4 of them. This was the most stable of them all. I wish there was a remote shutter and that it was optimized for the iPad. I highly recommend this of all the slow shutter apps out there. I hope that remote shutter control comes in the future and for even higher resolution (like full video). Also the HDR functions in this makes all the other HDR software look pretty bad. Im a professional photographer, and although I dont expect this to be like a dSLR, I was impressed. All my tests were done with a tripod and fixed scene.
Really nice app but please add timer and seconds of exposure!
One of the most useful and creative apps for advanced I-phonography! Thanks so much!

Some bad moments

Purchased the app, was disappointed by the app and immediately requested a refund through iTunes. And that was almost 2 months ago. To this date to reaction! 2,39 EUR wasted.
Has a roll down menu but no feedback...cannot find pics that I have taken. The you tube video is promo based not informative. So far it is just frustrating, need a proper tutorial!
Definitely not the most user friendly layout. Could have designed a easier user interface. Not as cool as I thought it would be. Mehh.
Oh boy, I wish I didnt buy this app. Not worth the 3 bucks, not yet at least. The app is too hard to use: Mostly because you have to teach yourself. The wheel type menu doesnt work like a wheel, pretty bad for 3 bucks. You have to save each photo you take manually and go into the menu to start a new photo if the one you just took wasnt good - which is most photos because only the developers know how to use this app. Has potential though......lets see it. [EDIT] - A little better with this update. Scroll wheel fixed. Added a star to my review
Still the same- I have revisited Magic Shutter on my phone and find it just as difficult to work with as I did when I first got it. Will keep trying with it, but as yet no magic! Well, I bought this app and cant seem to make it work, so here is the critique: 1. No getting started, or help info 2. No technical readouts: what is the exposure time? 3. Manual mode doesnt work like a manual camera.... 4. Overall, cant say like I have understanding or control if this app. 5. I think I have taken pictures, but where are they? Not in the library, not in the app..... 6. Overall, just a vague app without any kind of intuitive interface, and doesnt even model itself on a normal camera intelligence. Cant say at this point after a good period of time trying to figure it out that it works, and surely not worth 3 bucks at this point. It sounds good, but the app is in need of some serious interface adjustments.
Cant figure out where my pictures go... Cant even really work it. It need instructions- I cant believe it was $3. Fail.
